Currently, only 1.7.x version of the Server is available for download. Taverna 2.1 Server will be available in the second half of 2010 according to our Roadmap.
The Taverna 1.7.x Server combines a Remote Execution Service with the Remote Execution plugin for Taverna 1.7.x to users the possibility to set up a dedicated server for executing workflows remotely. The user can submit workflows from Taverna 1.7.x, detach, and check their execution status later either from Taverna 1.7.x Workbench or from a Web page.
