Taverna Server 2.4.4 released
This is a maintenance release based on an updated Taverna execution engine. Taverna Server 2.5 will be released in January 2014, which will include support for components, provenance and interactions.

SCAPE shows calling Hadoop from Taverna
The Scalable Preservation Environments project http://www.scape-project.eu/ have released a video showing how they use Taverna to orchestrate Hadoop jobs. The example characterises the content of web archive container files.
